About autogas we know everything

What is worth mentioning, the Dual Fuel (Diesel+CNG) engine delivers much lower emission of toxic particles and soot then the engine running on Diesel fuel alone. In case of a normally aspirated Diesel engine, not all the fuel injected gets completely burned in the combustion chamber. As a result of that, the following substances are produced:

  • CO (carbon monoxide),
  • HC (hydrocarbons),
  • Particles.

It means that in the combustion process of a direct injection engine (NOT a common rail engine) only 75-80% of the injected fuel is being transformed, and as a result of that toxic by-products are created and released to the atmosphere.

On an engine converted to DEGAmix up to 95% of injected fuel gets burned with the considerable reduction of the level of the toxic by-products.  The outcome has been established during emission tests carried out at a laboratory belonging to a certified research institution.
